Fantasy FC

okay... just wanted to throw a hypothetical question out there to see what people are into... with an unlimited budget, what would u do to ur FC? I mean engine wise... and things that are semi-realistically possible. Again, just curious as to what ppl will say

N/A or turbo...

I would build a 20B N/A. Lightened/strengthened everything, ported to high hell, etc. Just to see what I could get out of it.

I'd go for a vert, make it all white, Even the targa top. Have everything stock aside form the wheels on the exterior.

I'd go with a Renesis engine, find sombody to slap on a turbo for me and just go with that. Just do something that i haven't head of before in a vert. 20b's are cool as hell but being different is priceless.

Little different but. I've always wanted to see someone take a rail car and slap a 4 rotor with one of those chargers on them. Just though that would be cool.

For my dream FC I'd have the following (It's a long list. Track/fun weekend car BTW):

Body:
Mariah Mode Six Widebody kit (custom done in dry carbon fiber of course!)
RE Amemiya carbon fiber rear diffuser
RE Amemiya carbon fiber rear wing
Splitter and canards for the front (to even out downforce a little)
Fresh coat of jet black paint (NO DECALS!)

Interior:
Stripped interior
Roll bar
Recaro reclining seats
6 point harnesses
Smaller aftermarket steering wheel
Short shifter, ball ****
Gauges to monitor engine

Engine/Drivetrain:
20B n/a with tubular header (or maybe a custom twin turbo setup using GT spec turbos)
Lightened S5 n/a rotors (turbo rotors if turbo)
Streetported, fully balanced and blueprinted
Dowel pinned, hardened stationary gears, race bearings, etc (for higher rpm capability and durability)
Guru 2 piece eccentric shaft with centre baring (the 20B shaft is a 13B + extension right? if no, race clearance for higher revs)
Ported intake manifold
Cold air intake
Full titanium dual exhaust
Full standalone
Light flywheel, twin plate carbon clutch (in case I feel like drag racing)
Guru dog gear TII tranny with 1:1 5th gear (or maybe an HKS six speed)
Torsen limited slip (clutch type if turbo, torsen can't handle the power)
4.30 rear end gear
Carbon fiber driveshaft
Competition (stiff) engine, transmission and differential mounts

Wheels/Tires/Brakes/Suspension:
17x9.5 front 17x11.5 rear BBS RS GT (biggest wheels for the body kit)
275-40-17 front 315-35-17 rear (I know they're too tall, but try finding 275's and 315's that are the right height! Besides the 4.3 gear cancels this out)
Street tires BF Goodrich g-force T/A KD
Track tires Yokohama A032R (one of the only R's available in these sizes)
13" six piston brakes up front with some 11"-12" 2 or 4 piston brakes in the rear
Bigger master cylinder with proportioning valve
Advance Design coilovers
Racing Beat anti-sway bars
Mazdatrix independent rear camber adjusters.
Energy Suspension Poly bushings (black with the graphite)
DTSS eliminator bushings
Front and rear strut tower bars, auto-exe member bar set

How can you tell I've thought about this more than once?
There are probably a few things that I've left out, but hey, it's late.

S5 body, 20b engine bridgeported (never heard of someone bridging a 20b but im sure its possible) with custom tri-turbo (a turbo for each rotor! I've seen it in a pic before) and all the other goodies to go along with it.

What the hell... I'm in somewhat awe you bothered to take the time on this one...

BTW: 20b half bridge, three parr turbos. Got turbo lag?

EDIT: Errm.. I mean: got weekly engine rebuilds...

Id stick to the 13 series motor to keep the balance of the car even. Id put a 13RE in, build it to about 350HP. Thats pretty much alot of the cars on this forum so its not a very unreal dream. lol -alex

If and only if (IMO) its tube framed. I would be suprised if 350hp on a vert wouldn't twist the frame to hell.

I was also thinking a peripheral port 13b-RE non-turbo with nitrous would be fun too.

Oh, I forgot a couple things. First to keep the balance a little better, get the RB aluminum side and end plates, to make it an all aluminum block, get a CF vented hood to let the hot air out, and aluminum racing radiator, maybe a better oil cooler too.

I'd think about 300-350 normally aspirated rwhp with 20B torque would be very fun, especially if it'll rev to 10,000rpm!

I'd take a bridgeported 20B, slap on a T-101, a Motec if it works with a 20B and call it a day..

Definitely a vert. Total carbon fiber body, but stock shape and painted plain silver so its a real sleeper. Every chassis brace made out of titanium for strength to weight. Target weight 2500 pounds. 20B N/A streetport, etrude honed manifolds, 6spd trans. Suspension lowered 1 inch. Plenty of muffler on it for stealth. Just imagine the next time your at a stoplight next to a Honda Civic with a 3 tier wing and 6" exhaust tip....

id take the 4-rotor motor out of the lemanns car i saw (and heard, they fired it up) @ sevenstock (oh my...... talk about creaming your pants), slap twin t-88's , a 6-speed transmission (i like top speed as much as 1/4 mile)... keep full interior, i like comfort! leave the exterior bone stock (sleeper mode) and whoop the crap out of every unsuspecting italian car around!! although it would probubly take the same amount of $ to build my dream as it would be to buy a $150,000 lambo.

Some people on this thread are missing the "engine wise" that the thread starter said. Nobody wants to know ALL about the car, just what you'd do to the engine.

i think most of us have the basic same concept of under the hood...... ungodly hp and torque....... and there are only a few motors to choose from ( 13b, 13b-t, 13b-rew, 13b-re, 20b, 13b renesis) so, to just talk about the motor, this would be a short thread..... so a few of us decided to do the whole shabang.... that is where everyone is gonna differ.... we all have a different idea of what we want to "mold" or cars into.... that is what interests me!!
