Fan wont turn off

My fan upfront wont turn off for me. My plug that goes to the water temp sender or which ever that is thats on the waterpump is plugged in.

Are there other electrical wires that would cause this fan to stay on?

Also when i move the wire harness that is on the driver side that goes along the wheel and such, i can get it to turn off so I assume i have a little short or something is grounding over there and turning it off? I am guessing there is a wire over there that controls that fan also but i have no idea what else controls it.

Engine fan, A/C blower, personal fan? As far as I know FCs only came with Fan clutches, if you have an electric fan then you may want to look at the sending unit and/or the A/C hookup.

The FC had an optional electric cooling fan that mounted in front of the radiator. Basically where most owners mount their FMIC....

I had one, but it had a broken blade and I tossed it.

The wire going to the thermostat neck should have a small sensor and a single wire connected to it. I believe that wire is responsible for sending the signal to turn the fan on/off

Check its connection and see if the sensor is any good or not....I think they are available from a local parts store for like $15 or so

You have basically answered your own question. It also gets a signal from the temp sender by the water neck. My guess is there is an open (break in the line) between the run from the water neck area and the fan.

Actually it was optional.

If the temp switch is disconnected, the fan will run. You need to find the break in it's wire.

Probably right at the back of the sensor, if it's a normal Mazda wiring job...
