Normally $50-75 each, but they are very sought after items and ricer inflation sometimes takes its toll on pricing.

Ricer? It's a stock Mazda part that some people think looks better, who cares?

I usually see them going for 150+

Put it on EBay with no reserve and start it at a penny. You'll do the best that way.

That's just it... it looks better (according to some people). It has absolutely no function other than aesthetics, much like other ricer items like stickers or non-functional wings. I have seen the S5 rear end sell for $800 to $1,200, hence my reference to ricer inflation. If you disagree with my ricer inflation theory, then you are welcome to explain what kind of performance gain is accomplished by installing S5 tail lights on an S4 car, and why they are worth the extra money.

I don't disagree with the fact that the infactuation with the tail lights cause a rise in price, that's not my dispute. But the whole ricer comment was what got me.

First, s5 rear end? Are you talking about the differential? If it's the GTUs I see no problem in picking one up, but not for 800-1200.

Saying that the tail lights are rice is the same as saying putting a stock spoiler on a car that didn't come with one is too. I don't consider swapping stock parts as a big deal. Am I a ricer then for doing a black interior conversion too? I mean where do you draw the line? I'm just curious. I just don't see a problem with swapping stock parts from one RX-7 to another.

No, I mean the rear end of the body from a parts car, which would include the rear bumper and the tail lights.

No, the spoiler has a function. The lights do not.

No, a real ricer would use a multi-color scheme, such as a red interior with yellow door handles.
