Failed Smog

i'll just get straight to the numbers here

HC ppm
Limit 220
2500: 339
Idle: 1477

CO%
Limit 1.20
2500: 3.69
Idle: 3.96

CO2 Result
2500: 16.10
Idle: 14.20

O2% Result
2500: 1.9
Idle: 10.3

RPM Result
2555
973

those are the numbers now what we've done
this is the second time i've smoged the car
last time the numbers were double this, but had 3 holes in the main cat, and since then is a completely different engine.

today:
plugs and wires
and some run right stuff to clean it out

only thing we can think of is
injectors (one plug we pulled out had fuel all over it)
airfilter
intake

the car does have a missfire right now, changing the sparks and the wires made it better but its still there.

any help would be greatly appreciated

-Thanks

You could move out to Tennessee where we don't smog cars.

I know a lot of people with Nissan 240s in Cali with SR20DET conversions. They just bribe the emissions people, works too.

How long did you drive the car before you took it to the smog station? It is recommended to drive the car at least 5 miles before you have a smog check you want the car hot so the cats are working at maximum efficiency.
I also live in Vegas so if you need any help drop me a line and I would be more than happy to help you out.

Check your ignition timing-- make sure it's dead-on. Wire your 6-ports open. Try to replace the faulty injector (have it rebuilt). The last thing you need to do, as an end-all solution: If they don't catch it, unplug your brake booster vacuum line when you get there. Do the sniffer with it unplugged. You should be cool.

Let me know what happens.

stalls your engine! That would be a massive vacuum leak.

I had my fb smogged last year and it came up with numbers very similar. It turned out that the cat had melted. The cat was less than a year old too. I'd check that cat out.
