FAILED inspection

FAILED inspection
Does this sound a little odd to you?
I went to a local place where I get my gas. Anyway...
I passed emissions but failed safety. Here's what I failed:
Tires and wheel fasteners
Windshield wipers
Service brake system
Tires ok maybe I can understand, my rears are somewhat shitty. But FASTENERS? As in lug nuts? They are all there. And it makes me wonder how they even checked the brakes because I have a safety nut on each wheel. I have the socket for the nut in the car, but they didn't ask for it (then again I wasn't there the whole time I went to get breakfast). Finally, WIPERS. WHO GIVES A ****. Should I even bother going back and asking how they checked my brakes and what the deal is with the fasteners? The guy also had the nerve to ask 500 for the brakes. I was like "Ummm, no." And on top of it all they charged me $37...
I guess I'll just go somewhere else... Seeing as if I went back and called them on the brakes and wheel fasteners they'd get me on WIPERS.

Disc brakes are easy to check without removing the wheel, drums are not.
Keep your failed inspection receipt they should only charge you $12 or $15 for the next safety inspection.

bad wipers is a legitimate thing to call you on quite whining about it and just change them it takes 30 sec total time and the cost like 6 bucks a piece or if your really cheap just get the refill blades for htem for about 3 dollars total
he probible said wheel fastners cause he couldnt get yours off with out the key
and as PMR said disk brakes could be checked from under the car or through the wheel
the $37 dollar charge is about right gotta pay them for the work the do in checking your car pass or fail

Well la-dee-da. I went to another place, they scanned my old sticker, and I was already in the computer. They just printed it out and I now have the new sticker. The guy said where I was before the guy there was just giving me a hard time. My car was fine. 0wn3d!
