Exclamation Failed Emissions Inspection

When i did a carfax report:

The car i'm thinkig of buying 88 tII, failed emissions like 6 times
and twice was "Designated GROSS POLLUTER"

should i worry about that?
the final ones were all passed....

well, i have heard that there are cars in the junk yards that are there because they failed emmisions? maybe to expensive to keep?

the guy has the car....
i'm probably gonna buy it...

but i'm wondering if thats a bad sign...or is it common with fc owners...

i mean other than that its a clean title etc..
