Exclamation Failed Emissions Inspection

When i did a carfax report:

The car i'm thinkig of buying 88 tII, failed emissions like 6 times
and twice was "Designated GROSS POLLUTER"

should i worry about that?
the final ones were all passed....

thanks again...
