factory radio not working

I have the am/fm with cassette and EQ in my 88 GXL. Nothing happens when i hit the power. I pulled it out and i have both power and switch power. I disassembled the the tuner and tape deck and both glass fuses are intact (verified with a mulitmeter)

What else can i check before i condemn the whole set?

If you have constant, ignition and ground at the radio and it doesn't work, you have yourself a boat anchor.

i was hoping there was a way to test the individual parts (tuner, tape deck and EQ) so i could maybe find one on ebay rather than up in an after market

If you're so distraught, why not buy a known-working original unit from the classified? They're worthless, you could get one for next to nothing.
