Factory color ???

Factory color ???

Anybody know what color Mazda used on their 86 to 88 blue interior? Its the darker blue normally put in white and silver rx7s? Its like navy...anybody have an idea of what the name is called or paint code? I'm trying to color match some stuff, but can't lol....

I don't know, but I'm sure that it has faded since it came out of the factory a decade and a half ago. It would probably be best to just get it computer-matched with a modern dye. Another option would be to choose a close, but slightly darker color, and re-dye all of the interior pieces.

Mazda parts books just list the interior color you are talking about as blue.

Write down your VIN # and take it to a Mazda dealership. They will give you the paint code.

86-88 blue interior part numbers end in 48.

For example: FB01-60-350E-48 would be the Blue dash board assembly, while FB01-60-350E-07 would be Gray, FB01-60-350E-10 would be Red and FB01-60-350E-02 would be Black (Black being found only on the 89 and later models)
