Factory car alarm randomly went off last night

Factory car alarm randomly went off last night

So last night around 4am my alarm went off, its the factory alarm. Does anyone have clue why it went off? Its done this once before.

Most of the time if it is the factory system triggering (and you had to use the key in the door to disarm it) it is because the door latch switch (the lock switches that you lock the door with from the inside of the car) are dirty or out of alignment.

So a simple cleaning could possibly solve this?

mine kept doing that, found out the door locks (electric) kept unlocking themselves bad connection was the culprit. scary though.

yes the factory door lock uses that same switch to lock and unlock the passengers power lock

yeah i found that out after about the 3rd time in one night, it only took a couple of times for it to happen, kinda started to get more frequent after the first time, but then again, factory wiring isnt mazdas strong point as ive learned

Is there a way to disable the alarm? Pull a fuse or something?

On a S5 the only way to disable the factory system is to disable part of the CPU functions, or simply not arm the system in the first place. Lock the door with your key instead of inside the car.
