Question Fact or Fiction??:Fire

I was told that if i cut my Cats and run straight pipes I'd get a flame from my exhaust when i shifted at a good RPM with My T-II. I do know there are the flamethrower kits and I'm not asking about them.
So does anyone know if this is true? Thanks for reading either way.

Depends on how rich your running and how hot your exhaust gets. You may not(but may) get like a flame thrower like those kits will give you, but you will see flames.

my car makes those flame thrower kits look weak. fireball that completely lights up the rear view mirrors and even melted my bumper once.

Yeah I used to freak people out if they were riding my *** in my old N/A. I could shoot about a 2 foot flame with a loud boom out the back. They would back off very quickly!

2step on ignition cut only at 5k rpm and a silencer in the exhaust.

Possible uses include:
-Keep pesky tailgaters off your back
-Make gangstas duck for cover
-Scare the **** out of half-drunk rednecks
-Consistent, repeatable launches at the strip
-997 others!

From the 7s that I've drove, I would only get any sort of exhaust pop or flame from the N/As. My t2 doesn't even though it has no cat and free flow mufflers.

TII, stock port motor, S5 turbo, open exhaust with no cat's, Megasquirt ECU.

These pictures were taken during a Solosprint race (closed course race track), so the exhaust was wicked hot!!

Bone stock, no cats, some sort of exhaust, no airpump or ACV, etc.

ignore my friend and I talking at the end. These were coming out about a foot and a half from the bumper. This was on the old injectors that made the car run hella rich. Premix makes the flames pretty blue =)
