a/f ratio gauge readings?

Ok what should an a/f ratio gauge read? I have one in my turbo timer, I am sure its not very accurate but I was wondering what is normal, lean, and rich. At 3k rpms in 5th it reads like 2.80.

2.80...?&nbsp Any units?&nbsp that doesn't make any sense.
It's either going to read in volts, which should be 0 - 1.0VDC, or lambda from 0 to 20 (but averaging between 10-15).
