F-d up seatbelts

so yah im not sure how this happened... i remember the belt travel was getting slow.. then eventually having a passanger or so having to forcefully pull the arm across a few times etc..

Anyone have this happen? im sure i could fix it but havent took the time yet.. shouldnt seatbelts be covered for the life of the car by the factory??

ok i called them again,.. told him online it says covered for life of vehicle..

said its $95 to look at it.. if its covered by warrentee then I dont pay any of that.

Sucks i dont have a job right now so that $95 would kinda hurt me lol... Do you guys think they should cover it?

NO, the recall is NOT a one time fix. I've seen multiple threads about this. They are required to fix it as often as it breaks, many dealers just want to bullshit you so they don't have to take the hit. Do some searching on here and get some more info, then go back armed with that, just don't be a dick or they might do a shitty job/screw with your car.

edit: just saw your last post. Like I said, do some research. I think it's BS for them to charge you to look at it. I'd say tell them to just check if the recall applies (which it seems to) and to not check anything else. They're probably bullshitting you so you don't take it to them.

Yeah I used the letter on Kevin Lander's website. The dealer was telling me it was a one time repair and I had to call the Mazda corporate HQs.
