F**K JDM Intake Manifolds

ok i just finished my swap and when i tryed to crank the motor over it started but started hissing. sound like my injectors so as i was removing the UIM i heard something fall right? yea my outer ports on the lower intake manifold broke off? wtf now i have to use my full USDM S4 Manifolds on my JDM S5 motor. gay check it out. lmao

The broken areas look very clean. A break that clean is brand knew. No insult intended, but, are you sure you had the nuts off when you tried to remove the UIM?

haha i had everything off. most likely i did over torque them. ehh looks like i gotta pull the motor out again tomorrow and swap the manifolds

yea at least i dont have to pull it all the way out just enough to remove the turbo and get all the bolts. looks like i gotta make new gaskets AGAIN! haha but its always fun pulling out a motor when your 16

why do you have to pull the motor to swap manifolds? What's the difference in US and japan manifolds?

i have to pull the motor up a good amount to get to the manifolds bolts. i can't use that lower intake manifold anymore since its broken and useless so now i have to pull that off and put on my other one

i cant get all the way to it cuz of the shock tower and all that other BS in the way. plus its easier for me to pull it out and do it real quick rather than struggle to fit my arms in there and yeah you know how small the space is between the motor and the tower

Lol, I think pulling up the motor would be a LOT more difficult then just pulling the turbo/manifolds..lol
