External Wastegate's

Well after an exhaustive search I need some advice I haven't come across. I am currently running a oversized turbo I wish I could be more specific but I can't since the person I bought the car from had no idea what he put on. Currently I am running a 40mm HKS knockoff. Now its boost creeping on my **** so I know I need to upgrade to a bigger or better wastegate. Now after searching the tial website I saw something I haven't noticed which is a "rotary" wastegate. Now is this going to be better or just a more expensive wastegate? I guess I am really looking for advice from people making power. Also i don't really want to have to upgrade after this if I want to make more power. Any suggestions?

thanks

Josh

I had not seen that. I am running the TiAL 46 mm on my car and it does NOT creep. TiAL in my opinion makes the best stuff out there.

http://www.tialsport.com/prod_wg_46.htm

it says for the turbo rotary applications

I'm running a teeny greddy wastegate, and I'm having no problems maintaining as little as 7psi.

Well, that depends on your turbo.

kinda a side note... does your turbo glow after a spirited run? Which might be part of my wastegate issue getting WAY to hot.

Yeah, it glows a little. Depends on your definition of "spirited"/

flirting with "redline" for 10mins in full boost/boost creep. My turbo goes full red and starts going down to the vclamp to the downpipe. Maybe I have another issue?

you have to check the sping inside may be put a smaller one and glowing can be from timing or fuel

its only creeping to 12psi. Yes my car has most of the other mods to support more boost. Minus a new IC and a stand alone. 85% of the time I am pedaling it to stay low in boost.

Ok so I received my 46mm Tial Today and am going to install it but it seems that I might be missing a inlet gasket between the manifold and the wastegate. Is that something I don't need since I haven't found anything on Tial's website reguarding a gasket and before I go installing it I want to see if anyone knows the answer.

Tial just released a 60mm fyi. What turbine a/r do you have, and what exhaust manifold?

after some research.... I might have to make an adapter from the HKS to the Tial. But am I feel if I am missing a gasket/shim the 2 pics below are the HKS version with the gasket and the Tial without. Am I missing the gasket? Or dont you need one?

Looks like your missing a gasket on your Tial unit. I see the valve see, discharge flange and two gaskets for the discharge, but not one for the inlet...
