On the series 5 cars, there are side skirts.

They all use the same size fenders.

Banzai got everything else.

The '89-91 TurboII's come stock with a lip spoiler, but 90% of them that I've seen didn't have the lip spoiler any more - it's sad that people will abuse those things!

The hood scoop is usually the best wager - the majority of RX-7's with hood scoops are turbos, there's not that many people with NA's that found turbo hoods and put 'em on.

TII decals were not used on '91 cars.
Also if they still had the stock exhaust, I believe the TII chrome tailpipe extensions are bigger in dia. than the n/a.

Yes, side mirrors are a LITTLE different - only a sharp eye will catch this one.

the difference in the fenders are the holes for the t2 side skirts.

for 86-87 the outside differences are: the 16" wheels, the hood, the decals, the mirrors, the mufflers are squared off instead of being round, they have rear wiper and sunroof (so does the gxl)
for 88, they all seem to have the body color rear wing
for 89-90: the t2's get side skirts, the wheels are shared with the gtus, fog lights, the front spoiler. the mirrors 89+ are all the same in the us

NA versus TII

will a TURBO II hood fit on a NA ? by just taking the NA off and putting the TII on ? without any other adjustments?

well if it is a aluminum hood you need the hinges and hood clasp/lock for an aluminum hood...

and if it is a steel hood you need to use the hinges and hood clasp for a steel hood....

But yes other than that it bolts in

how about if you go from n/a steel hood to n/a aluminium hood, do you need to swap the hinges and hood clasp too?

the alum hoods are only about 20lbs lighter than the steel versions.

The alum hoods came standard on the 'verts and GTUs. The occasionally showed up on other models as well.
