expecting the worst.. omp senor

hey folks
I have a 91 GXL n/a
after a series of event my 7 is dead yet again... but im getting the engine code 20.. which is the oil metering pump sensor... im beginning to think that the pump is dead... but i haven't test it yet LOL my voltage meter died on me. whats the easiest way to test if it works or not...? I do know a omp is $1.5k at mazdatrix. whats the alternate if the pump is dead ? Would removing the omp hurt my emissions?

Buy a used omp or get an Rtek 2.0 & block-off / premix. You can't just unplug it and expect the ECU to stop putting it into limp mode.

I don't think limp mode should keep it from starting. From what I know, it will just severely limit power.

Charge your battery but i wouldn't drive the car....

Especially if it's an omp issue. That IS what lubricates your rotor seals......

Premix.

I <3 S4.

Mechanical omp.
