exhuast manifold big problem

exhuast manifold big problem

I was removing my turbo and 2 of the threaded screws broke do I need a new one or can a shop take out the actual threaded part and fix it?

i might be wrong but i think they are studs. you can easy out them and try to find replacements

This is all correct... but.. if I were your.. I would take the manifold to a machine shop and have them do it.. those studs get so freakin rusted in there that they become almost bonded to the iron manifold.. Any Automotive machine shop can do it and if they have to drill them out, they can helicoil the manifold so that you can use the same size studs in it as before...
