Question Exhaust system

It was payday yesterday so i got some extra cash to upgrade my car. Id like to start with an exhaust system, but im still on a tight budget (im a waiter in a chinese resturant). of course performance is the top (id like to run a good 1/4 mile, my best is only upper 16's illegally), but i would also like it to sound awesome (reving at stops with those fart can civics). any advice on a very cheap/powerful/easy to install exhaust system? thanks.

Well, I have what looks like the bonez superflo downpipe thing and highflow cat.
I then put on Corksports single catback.
It's the cheapest and most likely Loudest.

It is very loud on my N/A. I have heard nothing but good things about Racing Beats dual. It's quieter.

Corksport went for about $330 after shipping.
The Racing beat goes for about 550 i think.

I want to get RB's presilencer cat replacent.Although I don't know if my ports will still actuate. I want some Flames damnit not farts!
I don't know if my downpipe or catback will hookup correctly though.

One thing I did notice about my Corksport single was that the cat side of it was larger than the cat so it doesn't seal correctly so I have a crappy exhaust leak.
They said it mates to the cat but it was something like 2 3/4 instead of 2 1/2.

I like my Corksport though.Although I would like to have stayed dual.

Oh yeah. We both have the exhaust actuated 5/6 ports.
Be careful when shopping for stuff. Make sure you can still push the certain amount of back pressure needed.

That's why I am cautious about getting the presilencer cat replacement pipe.

Does anyone have that pipe from RB???

I really want to get a Corksport Catback on my NA(going with a Mazdatrix grea-area w/ cat, and ZR1 as a pre silencer). And I was wondering if anyone has some numbers on how many Db's the Corksport unit produces.

Thanks

exhaust

I have an 88 N/A with RB Header and RB presilencer with the Cork Sport single side out cat back system. Yes the RB header and presilencer configuration is enough to open the six ports. This set up is very loud. Any thing under 3k is alright but past that and full throttle applications are very loud. I had to weld in an Hi flow borla muffler to bring it down to a street drivable level. Still loud.

Personally, I think Racing Beat makes the best sounding, not-too-loud cat-backs
