The exhaust stud is cracked?

To remove a stud you need two nuts.

You put these two nuts on the stud. Then you tighten them against each other.

You then put a wrench on the inner nut and turn. That should move the stud loose.

Just make sure you spray lots of pb blaster or something on the stud before you try.

Huh, I thought you were trying to take it out?

Ok, you could try this. You could get some of the locktight that dosn't let go. Put this on the threads and then thread the nut on the stud. Let it dry. Hell, you could even get some jb weld and shore it up on the stud.

Then get an impact wrench and impact nut stud combo off.

Prob be back in town around the end of the month

AUTOZONE!! I had fun with my studs, almost **** my pands when the stud kept breaking til it was 3cm from the block.. well what my dad and I did was weld on a nut to the stud and put a wrench on the nut and turn it counter-clock. hehe well in my expierance I cross threaded some nuts on there before so the studs got all tightened up.. uhh yea so the stud kept breaking off because it was so damn tight in there, and finally slowly came out..

I would strongly recommend getting a tap for it and retapping the hole before putting in a new stud. I believe its 12mm x 1.5 thread in there.

Ok, you mean the end of the stud is broken. And you can not thread the nut onto the stud?

What you can do. Instead of taking the stud out is you could try to repair the stud with a dremel cut off wheel. What have you got to lose?

I have done this on some studs that I could not afford to redo. IE The output shaft axle on my Jimmy. I buggered two parts of the thread and could not get my axle nut back on. I took my cut off wheel and fixed the threads enough to make it work and not have to get a tap on threads that were like a 30mm size.

Good luck! And if you go this route. Take your time.

well beside the crack I didn't mention that the stud is also a lil bit folded, me and santiago had a hard time to put the header cuz half tip of the stud was blocking the way, like the last owner mess with the exhaust manifold and force it or something, anyway some how we manage to make it go thru, that's why I would like to replace it , and time have a lot, I have my car on jackstands i'm replacing about everything, i'm making a full recovery and proly i'll make it a proyect car now
