Exhaust sleeves

I need a quick answer.
I pulled out my engine out of my 89 GXL, and when I took off the exhaust manifold I found that the sleeves looked like none that I had ever seen. I have seen S4 N/A, S5 N/A, S4 turbo, but I never seen S5 turbo sleeves.

WTF?! I thought all the sleeves were at least symmetrical. I'm no expert though.

If this motor has ever been rebuilt maybe these could be some aftermarket sleeve, but it'd have to be a rotary shop judging by the strange but clearly purposed design of these sleeves. Maybe they really are stock or part of some specialty package like Anfini/Infini.

I tried searching for exhaust sleeves, and at rebuild threads in both 3rd gen and 2nd gen archives for like 2 hrs the other day. I could not find anything.
I know for a fact that it was rebuilt you can tell just by looking at the painted iron housings, and from what I found out "RE housings" cause they sure as hell not stock S5 N/A housings.

I just do not know who did the rebuild? I can ask the dealership that sold my father the car 8 years ago when I was 13 but that would be hard considering that the guy who sold it to him is in prison as of 2007

Is there any gains by having the RE housings? I believed they used a different surfacing method correct? Are they any stronger then the S6 housings in the REW?
Also the sleeves look more restrictive then the S5 N/A

No gains by running RE housings at all if you use them with the stock sleeves.People use them but swap the sleeves out for turbo2 or FD sleeves, they are the exact same housing used on the FD and S5 turbos but with the weird looking funky sleeves.
