Exhaust reconfiguration/thought/ideas/IneedAheader/etc.

Those pictures pretty much explain themselves about my exhaust so I won't talk about those. My plan right now is to use that 36" as a removable test/race pipe that will have some sort of resonator (actual resonator or cheap muffler/glasspack) for driving to get rid of the drone at 3000-3500. Then I will keep the other pipe with the cat on it for when emissions comes around. I do have the silencer tip for the exhaust and it does a good job silencing, but makes a raspy/civic/cheap exhaust sound, so I will also switch that in and out depending on how long of a trip I will be making. I also want to do this pretty cheap so that if it sounds like crap or something else happens I can just toss it and go back to the way it was...

I was thinking about this glasspack "Dynomax Magnum Glasspack Mufflers" (19.99)
IT'S PAINT IS BETTER THAN MINE!!!!!

anyone have a RB 2-1 header they want to sell??

A glasspack will last you a total of 24 hours or less! They can't keep up with the hot exhaust from a rotary engine. My advice you be a RB header, a borla 2.5 inch in\out as a pre silencer, your catback is way too loud for a NA.

haha, you shouldn't have quoted the whole thing... it is very loud right now, but not the loudest i've seen... after i wrote this this morning, i realized the glasspack wouldn't last and I needed something with stainless wool or some sort of presilencer. borla did come to mind but i hope to do this pretty cheap... less than $100 if i can, not counting the header... i'll be able to do the work myself, and I have 36" inches of straight pipe to work with... so basically the cost is the resonator and flanges and maybe a little bit of pipe...

I do use the silencer insert and it does a good job, but like I said it sounds kinda bad. but when I want to have fun I can take it out and let it be as loud as it wants to be, so i'm not terribly worried... but any ideas on what I can use as a resonator to get rid of the drone would be helpful... the borla is a good chioce, i might just save for that... but keem'em coming

Maganaflow makes some nice resenators.. mine been on for about 6 months with no change in tone.. steel packed and nice and quiet. And I think it comes with a life time garentee.

KNONFS, I have been using glass packs on my FC for about 10 months now, with no deterioration in tone. In fact, they produce a very nice tone, a lot lower and less tinny than most mufflers on these cars. I can't understand why so many people say they won't last whan I've had no trouble from mine.
