i have a 89 turbo 2 and there is practically no exhaust form the dwn pipe bak its all rotted away i was wondering if this could cause my turbos to stop spooln do to loss of to much acces gas...i just orderd a new racing beat hi perf down pipe bak exhaust so please help me with this

 

Well, because the downpipe that let's all that cramped up air from the engine is pretty much unclosed, it could be bad for ur car a could reduce hp because of the turbulence of the airflow not flowing properly. It probobaly smells bad too without a pipe. It wouldn't make ur turbo's to stop spooling. Racing beat is the way to go becasue they will last a very long, long time. Performance is excellent. Maybe u could order a whole Road Race exhaust system from Mazdatrix while ur at it.

 

like when i get it goin at like 4 occasionally wen cold the guage will show my boost but aftr a while it stops...im new to turbos and rotary engines so i dont no whats goin on wit this

 

if anything it would cause you to over boost.

do u think the turbo could be shot or the guage be broken

alright my exhaust is rotted from the downpipe bak...for somereason the boost guage is either not workin or there just is no boost cuz when i get on it and go to red zone there is no reading of boost on the guage but then occasionallY the guage will work so im not sure whats going on also i think due to the exhaust problem the check engine lights on...is that tru...i really need imput on this...i have a 89 turbo 2 wit a stock engine 88 thousand miles...
