Exhaust Problem..

I was going to install my header today but came across a problem.. The line that goes into the main cat, Im not using my cats so how do I block that off? I thought the block off plates but I cant find any online or even what that line is called to specify my search more.

If I remember correctly, in an earlier thread you already stated you were still going to use the exhaust backpressure to open your auxiliary ports, so just weld the thing shut and be done with it. Per the Factory Service Manual, that's the split-air pipe you're dealing with. See here, also, near the bottom.

Correct, I am going to use the backpressure to open them. I knew I didnt need it but I wasnt so sure if I had to block it off and how to do it right. Could I cut it up higher toward the engine then have it closed, so I dont have that pipe going down the exhuast

No problem. However, it would be ok to cut the pipe off and weld the hole. I did that instead of waiting for parts; works just fine.
