Exhaust piping size matching
i was looking into building an exhaust system and ran into piping size matching problem; the components of different companies have different sizing... how important is it to match the size? does it have to be perfectly the same size between each component? or can they vary a little bit?
what about progressively increasing the piping size from the turbo and back? would that affect anything?

with the stock turbo you don't really get much more with anything bigger than 2.5" . You don't want flanges portruding, and you want minimal bends, with the least amount of flanges possible as they both affect the Drag coefficient of the gas within the piping.

Are you looking for max power outta the engine?
If you are, go for 3" DP and 3" piping all the way....
2.5" is for N/A cars. Turbos cars need hugh piping. The bigger the better.
