Exhaust not lining up...help
Good news is that i got my RB presilencer on and it definatly helped in the lower/cruising RPMs like a typical rotary it gets loud up top which is how i like it.
The bad news is that something in my exhaust is majorly not right. The catback does not line up a straight shot to my header. I have no idea why though. Even after putting the turbo presilencer on, there is about a 6 inch gap between the header and the end of the presilencer however to line them up i have to push it all over about 4 inches. This leads me to the problem that the exhaust tip rests on the bumper, the exhaust has zero give in it, i have to use a hose clamp to pull the rest of the exhaust so its not sitting on the floorpan/rear control arm, and its a huge pain in the *** to try to put together. I am getting to my wits end with it being like this and will probably saying screw it and either buying a RB true dual or buying a corksport header and resonator. Any body run into this using the RB header, RB resilencer, Corksport combo? I cant imagine the NA presilencer has a bend in it either.

I had to make a presilencer and put a bend at the end of it,so the Flange would Line up onto the Y pipe.I am using a Pacesetter header with a homemade silencer(thwack got ya)..uh presilencer that is..and a REV II racing beat Exhaust.

If any part of the exhaust system was assembled before sliding the presilencer in, you'll have to start over to be sure that it fits. That means loosening ALL the bolts on the entire system. Loosely bolt the header to the block, loosely bolt the presilencer to the header, loosely bolt the "y-pipe" to the presilencer then loosely bolt each muffler to the Y-Pipe. Go back to the front and snug up the bolts at the "block" a bit more, then work your way towards the rear.
A 1/2" of play at the front can put you WAY out at the rear. It's a pain in the *** to loosen everything up again, but it's the only way to get the play you need to make it all line up. Give it a try before you totally give up!
