im taking the turbo off to port the wastegate and im thinking about getting a better exhaust manifold...my question is who has replaced there manifold with a better one? and what brand is it? was it really worth it?ive seen that hks makes one anybody used that before?i searched and couldnt really find nothing

There are only two options if you are using the stock turbo: the series 4 manifold or the series 5 manifold. No aftermarket manifold will work with the stock turbo.

 

So now you can consider getting the s5 turbo/manifold and porting that wastegate and not have to worry about welding on a new flapper as most would advise with an s4 turbo.

The hotsides are unique. I spoke with a Turbo company in my town last week and nothing will mount up to ours other than stock units pretty much.
