exhaust manifold

quick question is it possible to take out the exhaust manifold without taking anything else out besides the rest of the exhaust? mine is leaking terribly and fumes are getting into my car, if its an easy fix i might just go with headers and do it at home if not im just gonna replace the gasket and take it to a shop unless of course the manifold itself is cracked

I think its only four nuts that mount it to the engine but they're a pain to get off if they've never been off before. Just coat them in penetrating fluid first to help them budge.

Maby it would be a bit easier to take off the turbo first instead of turbo and manifold together

I'm assuming he meant the N/A exhaust manifold. I've never taken off a turbo manifold but the N/A looks much easier.

Yeah the turbo manifold is a pain since you have to weasel the turbo out.

If its a turbo its just a bit more work due the oil and coolant lines.
