Arrow Is this an exhaust leak? Clip attached.

Ok guys. I have been having a shitload of problems with my car. I changed the tranny and sheared an exhaust bolt up trying to tighten it back up, right near the precat.

Anyhow I put everything back together and drove the car and never heard as much as a peep out of it even with only one bolt really holding it on.

Last night i decided to fix my thermoswitch on the back of the waterpump housing, pullet it out, and replaced it with the switch from my s4. I put it all back together and let it sit.

This morning i get to my shop and it is running like this, making this noise, keep in mind I had driven it for a week since I broke the exhaust bolt and no nois. So of course I thought it had to do with me changing something from the night before, it is just too coincidental.

So I did end up putting the right sensor back in it and come to find out it was the sensor plug that was pulled apart from the wires. I fixed it and it runs fine now but this damned noise wont go away. It sounds like it is coming from the exhaust, right where that bolt is missing from the precat.

Lift it and feel for a leak.

It's that simple.

There's no way in hell the exhaust is going to be leak free with just one bolt though. Repair it properly.
