exhaust and intake for 86 rx7? is single exhaust best?

i just bough a 86 rx7 with 31000 orig. miles. the orig owner put on a short shifter and body kit with recaro seats. now my question is i see how the exhaust breaks into 2. would it be beter just to go single all teh way back with 2.5 pipe? also do they make like a dual header and dual all the way back like the first gen wtih the 13b its the street port set up exhaust from rb. any help is appreciated. also what kind of intake shuold i run just cone filter, i have a adapter plate that i bought when i bought my current gsl-se and took it off so i can get it smogged. like i said all info is appreciated

Bryant posted a pole on just your question thers a lot of good info in there check it out. As for me i own a 88gxl and ive been pondering the same question since i bought my car and i finally decided on Single my reasons are through research a single is better for a power and the wieght advantage is significant especially during racing aplications which is a concern to me but hey research is really the only way to find out what you want

There is all the info you could ever want on this topic. Knock yourself out. It gets really technical later one.
