Don't waste your time unless it's actually rotted through (VERY unlikely). The subrame is very thick, at least 3MM on each side (sometimes laminated together for doube the thickness). Most FCs I see have quite a rust buildup on the subframe, but it would take another 30 years for it to get to a point of concern. If it looks ugly, just scrape it off and coat with paint. Use POR-15 for a permanent repair, or hardware store rust paint if you're cheap. WAY too much work to pull the subframe for a little surface rust.

Silicone gasket maker. Not generally recommended on exhaust applications, because it just burns off.

The sub frame I don’t see a single thing worth time and money to fix.

Ok something on the exhaust.

1: Does anyone ells feel that 3in exhaust is a little big for a N/A?
Maybe it is just me.
2: Will his split air pipe provide enough BP to open his 6PT on a 3in exhaust?
I would venture to say no.

You could add a Borla XR1 to lower your exhaust tone down some.

there is next to no backpressure in my exhaust, so the split air pipe is inoperational. the guy I got to do my welding jsut didnt know what to do with it, so he welded it to the pipe to keep it from dangling. my 5&6 ports have been inoperational sicne I got the car. Ive banged them open as best I can, so now theyre stuck there.

Im not a huge fan of the single either, but for the price, I couldnt pass it up. If I can ever find a matching muffler I might weld up a seond pipe and turn it back into duals.

theres been a noticibal power increase with this new system. I remember when first getting the car, I always found myself waiting for the redline. It almost catches me by surprise now it come sup so fast. I havnt seen if its improved my top sped yet. I hit 205 km/h with my cats hollowed and everything else stock, so I should go see if this helped at all.

whats wrong with my welds!?
