I live in san diego, ca. unless your town is really relaxed on over 95db. regulation you'll have major problems with the local heat. good luck

Turbo or NA? My TII isn't too bad with an open downpipe, but still loud. I would imagine an NA would be twice as loud (no turbo to muffle the sound a bit) and probably sound like crap at anything other than full throttle.

i ran a side pipe on my TII for like a month while i was waiting on my full exhaust to ship from japan. it was retarded loud (like, think cesna or beechcraft) but it sounded awesome too. only got pulled over for it once, in another city, and the dude was cool about it when i told him i was waiting on my new exhaust to get in.

i had a 2.5 in Dp to a gutted cat and apexi n1 straight from the turbo, virtually no bends and i had to raise my voice quite a bit on the freeway, not to mention ppl could tell i was in my car when i answered the phone. pretty damn loud and the n/a will be quite a bit louder. my car was completely gutted so that made the noise worse too. my mom rode in it once... never again she said.

WE FIRED UP ONE THE RACE CARS OUTSIDE THE SHOP WITH JUST A STRAIGHT PIPE ON IT BETWEEN MUFFLER TESTS. IT WAS SO LOUD I HAVE TO TYPE LIKE THIS FROM NOW ON.

Expect it to be over 120db at higher rpm's.

F16's are louder than F22's. Its due to the restrictive intake design.

Open pipes on an NA....... you'll be begging for a muffler after one ride.

I used to have dual pipes from a Racing Beat header back to a single N1 muffler and that was overwhelmingly, insanely loud. Then I had stock manifold straight piped back to that same single N1 muffler, still loud enough to get me a ticket. Now I have stock manifold straight piped back to stock dual mufflers and it is very tolerable. Sounds a little louder than stock, but quiet enough for me to get my exhaust ticket written off by a CHP.

if you keep the rmps higher the drone goes away, and the sound is more tolerable....... inside the cabin.

dont do it i had a supercharged v6 (16 psi) with dual stright pipes AND a high lift cam, about 3 grand in tickets and a suspended license before i felt like doing what they wanted. loud cars are cool...... but you look like a douche and neighbors hate you.

when i had my n/a the last summer, i was *smart* enough to cut the down pipe.
wow is it ever loud.
sounds like a v8 loping at idle and a chainsaw past 4k
shakes the **** out of the car and your ears!
if you want to do it, just remove your cat and mufflers, atleast keep the bottle (resonator)
you will get sooooo many looks.
i could go around a corner and have people already turned and pointing.

SOOOO loud!

He's not kidding. It will be the "I'm-standing-right-by-the-eight-foot-tall-speakers-at-a-death-metal-concert" loud, perhaps louder.

I have the racing beat street exhaust, not the true-dual, and I sound like a "beehive" my friends say. I've been next to a FB witha 13B with just the turbo and down pipe. Lets just say we didn't start it again for 2 reasons. 1: The cops said not to, apparently we woke up 1/2 the neighborhood at 2am, and 2: My ears still hurt.

all in all - Dont Do It....
