Exel Wheels?

Does anyone on here have any experence with Exel Wheels? I'm looking for wheels to get for my car (red 90 GXL) and saw some here: http://www.wheelmax.com/Wheels/exel/exel.htm that I liked. They were the radius in gunmetal or hyperblack. I was orignally going with some Rota Subzeros or Attacks. One more question, would a 235/45-17 work on my car or would it just be better to get a 225/45/17?

What kind of suspension are you running? 235/45 in the front will probably rub. in the rear it will be fine though. Are you going for a staggered setup? What offset are you getting?

Exel is Wheelmax's in-house brand... they might be one the heavy side.

I'll be running RB springs and KYB AGXs when I can afford these rims. Actually the springs come in 2 days. WOO! Anyways, as far as offset goes I was thinking of +35. I think thats what RETed said was the best but I may be mistaken. I wanted 225s all around but the packeges that wheelmax offers don't have that size, only 235s so I was wondering if that would work. Are 235s all around too much tire for a N/A?

My G/Fs brother has those wheels ( radius..) on his 3000GT. Im not sure what you are looking for, but they are a heavy wheel. Im more of a performance oriented person, so lightweight is important to me. They look ok though, if thats all you care about. The 235/45r17 will most likely ( definately..) rub up front. Id just go with the 215s. I am running 235/40r17 up front on a 17x8 with a 35mm offset, and its rediculously close.

Oh ok, thanks Rxmfn7. The rubbing info helped. I am more perfomance oriented than looks too, so I should just suck it up and get some Rota Subzeros/Attacks and 225s? They're decently light and affordable. I'm 18 so i can't afford Volks or anything that sweet.

I have a set of exel race 17x7's in gunmetal on my FC.. They are a bit heavier than i wanted... but not bad.. It seems they tend to bend sort of easy though, but then again, there are insane potholes in corpus christi, tx..

Not bad for the price though.. Personally, i'd go with Rotas.
