Exclamation JDM 88 t2 wiring harness knock unit plug?????

ok sooooooo big hold up on my project, my t2 wiring harness was fucked from the last guy re-routing ti over the hot side of the turbo, well this harness i bought does no have the wiper plug or the knock sensor unit plug. so heres my question will it still work with out the knock unit and i also see it sits differently then the us spec harness any can show me how it sits??????????????

The car will run, but the knock sensor retards timing when it hears "knocking" in the engine. Personally I wouldn't run with out it.

Since the harness is JDM it was ment to be routed on the opposite side of the engine bay.

You don't need the knock sensor, and the 20yo stock set-up is nowhere near advanced enough to provide full-load protection. Above ~4000rpm there's too much other noise for it to be able to detect knock. It's really just to detect knocking caused by low-rpm lugging (i.e. driving in a gear too high for the speed/load).

Using the right harness for your car will solve the problem of course...
