Question Excessive coolant consumption

Okay, I've notice since I've had my car, that it...a 1986 RX7 base model eats a lot of coolant.
It use to be every weekend where I'd have to fill up the bottle, now 2weeks. I read in an RX7 book that its a problem with 86-87 models.....

What do I do, or do I just leave it? or does a Mazda centre repair as a "call back" type thing? Thanks

Uh, WHAT RX-7 Book told you it was a 1986-1987 thing???

You have a leak in your coolant system.&nbsp It could be as simple as a loose or cracked hose or your engine needs to be rebuilt due to failing water o-rings or grooves...

mazda rx7 repair manual, which is a complete tear-down and rebuild manual. In the general maint'nce area, it says 86/7's have an excessive coolant consumption problem.
why does that sound totally off??
