Exaust help!!!!!
Last week...i installed a CS cat-back...It sounded very nice..all deep and throaty...freinds said it sounded like mean monstar bout to eat a WRX up.....but it was a little too loud...
So i bought a silencer..... after that...my car sounded like tha noise was going everywhere...allmost like a ricer fart can farting....freinds said it sounds like king kong ate a bad dinner.....
Is it the silencer??? i noticed the silencer to me a little loose even when the screw and the nut is lockewd dead....is it possible to make a gasket kinda thingy for a silencer?

do u mean u have an exhaust leak?.....get some exhaust gaskets and put some muffler paste on before u bolt them together...or better yet..just get rid of the silencer....

muffler paste?....pepboys?..any auto parts should have them...they're used as cheap band aid way to fix muffler holes......put it between the gasket and the parts ur trying to bolt together....

I think the silencer he is referring to is the one u put in the muffler tip. If you silencer out the sound is back to normal?
If you want to use the gasket sealer just got buy a tube of black RTV silicon sealant at kragen and loosen the sections of exhaust apart and just smear a good layer in between the flanges. Finger tight them and let it cure for a while 10 minutes and then torque them down. That may not be your problem though.
What size is the piping for the exhaust? I have extra exhaust gaskets sitting around that I dont need if you want to buy them but they are 2.5" I think.
