my car has a hydraulic cluch and the fluid level is in the "LOW" mark i know it uses brake fluid but dont know if i should use DOT 3 or DOT 4, and what if i have DOT 3 and i add DOT 4 or if it has DOT 4 and i add DOT 3 will it mess it up or will it work. cuz i dont know which one it has(it looks gray). and is 10-40 castrol GTX motor oil good for my RX7

use 20-50 castrol GTX for motor oil (red cap) and i believe it takes dot 3 flud, im not sure, check the FSM or something ( www.iluvmyrx7.com )

yeah but now its under 100 degrees and the cap says DOT 3 or 4 but what if they get mixed? and i allready put in 10-40 should i change it? just did it yesterday

Since the cap list both, then use either. As for the oil, go with the 20/50. I don't go to the 10/40 until winter.
When I replace hydraulics in the car i.e., calipers or clutch hydraulics, I've been switching to DOT5 silicone. But you have to flush the entire system and bleed 100 pct of the old dot out. They don't mix well, comes out like snot.
Got tired of my paint coming off from the older type brake fluid.

Most DOT 4 fluids are compatible with DOT 3, but read the container...
It almost sounds like you're trying to put engine oil in the reservoir- that's a no-no
I've used several different fluids over the years in mine during my annual master/slave cyl rebuilds, DOT4, DOT4 synthetic, and DOT5, to see if one lasted any longer than the others before contamination set in. Not really a winner. So I'm back to DOT4...
