Everyone I need your help on this one!!

I had aranged to purchase an NPR intercooler from a person on this forum for $265 shipped to my door. THREE WEEKS AGO!!! I sent him an e-mail on Thursday explaining how angry I was. NO RESPONSE. I had writen him an e-mail today. NO RESPONSE YET. This is hurting US as a community. How can we trust people for advice and parts that we don't even know? We go at this sport with blind faith hoping that somebody who has done it before can point us in the right direction. Now more and more people are taking that trust and using it to rape us of our hard earned money.

I am asking for help to harasse this person off the forum, or to the point of him getting his **** together!!! He did it to me he can do it to others. He is an active member with a post as recent as today. His handle is TurboGXL

Now those of you who rise to his defense, please do. That means you know where he lives. Go to his house get him off his *** and make him send the intercooler!!!!

they're was a tread about something like this not that along ago. they suggested that we start a system to where we are able to rate people and their system of selling. i.e evry time u buy something frum a person and all goes well, u give him a good rateing. if something like this happens then u give him a bad rateing. i think this would be a good idea so we can kinda weed out the bad ppl

Ya we should do a rating, so far I have had great comments about my business. I would like to have them posted somewhere. Comments, like I like that you get back to me the same day. Your much faster then corksport, and cheaper then all of them.. I like those and I want to get the word out that im here to help you guys get the good stuff, no cheap imitation stuff. FEED, RE, and other companies here are very affordable, just the companies that bring them to the states mark them up close to 20-30%
Thanks

Do you have his real name? What about his phone number? Address?
Or did you just send $250 to an email address?
Did you use Paypal? You can notify them about your problem...
Did you chose a shipping method with package tracking/insurance?
BEFORE you get all upset and ask US for help, you need to do ALL your homework.
Not saying you didn't, just not interested if you didn't do everything you need to to protect yourself...

It's not unheard of for people to be slow in responding to angry/upset emails.....try being polite, that usually works better.

I posted in this on your 1st generation specific post also.

I explained the difficulty I am having to you via email. I asked you to PLEASE be patient with me. You will get your intercooler SOON. I FEEL REALLY BAD THIS IS HAPPENNING AND FEEL LIKE A JERK!!! Although I know you don't care but everyone is only hearing your side of the story.
I told you it would take some more time to in order to get you a better IC. I think you will be happier when you get the undented non-rock damaged one that you were originally buying. Fault me for trying to get you a better product.
I have studio projects due, that are time consuming. I spend up to 10-12 hours in the computer lab, trying to finish a semester long project. I AM NOT GOING TO RIP YOU OFF!! I know no one is interested in excuses, so I'm not offering any. I let you know that I was having a hard time and was in a jam with this being the end of school. I admit I probably should have waited to take this on at this point in time. MY BAD!!=good intentions=bad execution. If I was a real ******* as you say, I wouldn't be responding as I am. Go ahead and send a letter to the IFCCFBI.GOV if you want. That is really not much of a threat considering you are about #1,234,435 in line to get your case handled. I know cuz I'm in line also. Besides when you get the IC there really won't be much case of fraud. Will there?

Again I apologize for the inconvenience. Go ahead a feel free to bash the hell out of me all you want, it's your right.

Mike

Mike (turboGXL) has sent me an e-mail finally. I have explained the reason I am upset is because of his lack of comunication. I understood that he was going to take longer, in order to get a beter product to me.

So I was told I was getting a better product, and that delivery was going to be delayed. I was not told how much longer, and e-mails stoped flowing. My e-mails were not being answered. What the hell am I supposed think???

My reason for this post was to get a response from somebody who was not responding. Not to "bash the hell" out of any one.

I know just how you feel moremazda. There's no excuse for people not communicating, it takes but five minutes to check and respond to email. I do deals on ebay and when I don't hear from the seller for a week I get worried. I bought a radar detector from some guy and I never got 1 single email from him. I tried emailing him numerous times and I figured I'd gotten screwed, and sent in a complaint. All of a sudden, a day after I filed the complain the radar detector shows up at my door. Should I retract my complain? Hell no, make him think twice about not responding.

I notice you said he didn't respond to ANY emails or even send you one of his own. Apparently, I only didn't respond to one of Ryan's, which I didn't even see!! I have communicated with him concerning status on all his emails except one I didn't see.
Anyhow, moot point. I'll just make it a habit to update Ryan and others every 48 hrs or so.

Just beware of someone on this forum named "TwinCam13BT," he still owes me $2,000 worth of parts; it has been over 5 months! Damn I hate people who rip me off.

It sounds to me like a lack of communication has caused a decent deal to go south. After reading all the posts on this thread, I am thinking that both sides kinda let this one get out of hand. The buyer for jumping to conclusions too quickly and the seller for bad timing. I am not placing blame any more than stating what you probably have figured out by now, which is: Most people are honest and well intentioned for the most part. I myself have gotten into a jam at times. I have also been royally screwed by a few people on ebay and such. I try my best to communicate with the other person and figure out the deal. 99% of the time you can tell whether the person is trying to cheat you. I hope that both of you (and even some others) have learned a bit from this and can save a headache or two by just talking. I hope that there are no hard feelings between you because it sounds as if you both like your 7's and you both seem to know quite a bit about them. It also sounds to me like you are both pretty good people too.
I also agree we should have a system of rating sellers (and buyers) kinda like ebay style. It may inspire more confidence in larger purchases.
Just my $.03 (I always give a little extra!)

Just as a side note, (and then I will go away) the best way to build up confidence in others is to get out to the car shows and BBQ's and the races, etc.etc. I know of no better selling tool than word of mouth. I personally had the highest customer loyalty rate of any Mazda dealer service dept on the East Coast and I got there by treating people right so they would tell their friends. I think it is very important to get out and mingle with people who have 7's and have had them worked on by certain shops and have dealt with certain buyers and sellers. I have no problem with someone inquiring as to my good name because I have nothing to hide.
We as Rotary owners are a tight bunch! All it takes is one mistake and everyone knows about it. But let's also try to recognize the good as well as the bad. Someone please post a thread about a good experience they have had. Maybe I'lll start one and everyone can post there too. I know there are a lot of good stories.

Hahah, now thats funny!! Its bad enough you have to worry about other members ripping you off, but when you can't even trust yourself I'd say its time to stop buying online.
