Ebay brand turbos are not worth it in any way shape or form IMO. You are better off buying a reputable brand-name turbo and buying everything else separately. Much more reliable this way.

the intercooler and charge pipes are the only parts of that pile of garbage that's "usable" quality. the pipes would need to have beads rolled on the ends after being cut to length as well...

some people ran ebay turbos and it works for them well.
I would never try and push those ebay turbo to the limit though. At 8-12 psi is what my friend runs his ebay turbo kit on his civic and it lasted 2 years so far making 274hp. His civic turbo would never reach the high temps a rotary puts out but it last.
If you are going to spend 1k on a turbo kit, you might as well try and get a BNR turbo and slap that on if you are already turbo. If you are doing some kind of conversion, you can get a reliable 300hp setup with just buying good parts second hand off the forums for around 1.5k

Also, the compressor a/r and trim is way to small for a rotary.

Ebay kits are hit or miss. Sort of like Jspec motors. You may get one and run for years. You may get one and run for minutes.

$1k for a chinese turbo kit?

no wonder they keep making this crap because with this thread it's obvious people actually buy this **** and actually pay too much for it...

you know you can get a real, quality new garrett ball bearing turbo for that price now right?

the turbo and wastegate may be garbage but for the price you still get your money worth of other useable parts.

yep, $1k for $350 worth of parts you can buy in induvidual listings.. about the only thing there i might trust to last more than a few months is the intercooler and piping.

the couplers look like cheese, the steel braided hose covers.. do people still buy those? cheapo fuel pressure regulator, oh yea i'll trust that to work.. the whole thing is made of queso.

I don't trust any Ebay ad that isn't spell checked. No, I don't want a trubo kit.
