European Spec S4 signal lenses

Ok, I've asked about these before, and I thought we might be able to either get a group buy or a contact that we could order these through. For those of you that don't know, these lenses are clear where the running light should be and amber over the blinker. I believe these two pieces are basicly glued together, so in reality, you could pull the amber insert out and have a totally clear lens. I believe they're pretty cheap too. So can anyone overseas help us out?

Ok, this is an easy one.
Turn signals for the Euro S5 cars have a two part lens. The very outside is a small clear square with the same bulb in it as your sidemarker lights. The Regular turn signal has the regular bulb in it. When you turn on your headlights, the only part that is lit is the white outside square on either side of the car (both turn signals of course). The main part, amber bulb only comes on when you turn your turn signal on. The outside, small square is called the "Citylight" in Germany. I have sourced many of these turn signals, my own two cars have them and I've gotten them for friends with the 1st gen cars as well. I suspect the S4 signals are similar. Generally, the S5 and 1st gen lights (pair) fall into $160 range when you take shipping into account from Europe. Remember, these are new from the dealer. I've gotten some used on a rare occasion, but they really are pretty grungy and did not clean up well, never mind finding some with uncracked lenses.
One final point, they plug right in to your harness, no modification and the lens gives DOT approval, so no regulatory issues.

For some reason, I can't get a picture up. If there's someone I can email one to and they can get it added, that would be helpful.

I made my own, but kept the amber lenses (looked better on a red car).

Yes, you can make your own by drilling out the already premade spot, at least on the S5 lenses for the bulb and fitting. What you don't have though is the two tone, clear/amber lens. That though, is a personal decision. I like the two tone look. Mark doesn't.

I spent a half year tracing down a set from AUS, and put them on. I traded a guy in AUS his set for mine (he wanted the NA spec ones as well).

But on my car, I liked the monochromatic look better (the white area, just didn't look right), so I sold them.

I believe the dealer only charges $25.00 US for these things, at least in the amber stock S4 form. I wouldn't imagine the shipping even from overseas to be that horible. I'd be willing to throw down for a set of these.

Remember, this is for the lens only. I already modified my signal housing to accomidate the extra bulb.

For just the lens, that may be so. What I've gotten has been the entire housing and lens, therefore the increased price. I did not realize you were talking of just the lens.

The US lights only use one bulb (double filament), but the lights you're talking about have two seperate bulbs, so there will be some wiring modification required.

For S5 owners, there's no need to buy new lenses to achieve this look. You just remove the inner orange lense that's glued inside the clear outer lense, drill out the blanks for the marker lights and install a new bulb holders, and replace the indicator bulbs with orange ones. The marker lights will light up white and the indicators will light up orange.

I have these lenses as stock on my car, and I modded them as above. I had photos of this posted but the forum's ditched them and won't let me attach them again.
