ET42 on 18"

Hi all,
I have done a search, and have found alot of info with reference to offsets and wheel sizes.
My question is, can i fit a 7.5x18 with a 42mm offset on both front and rear of my FC. Will they be pretty flush, and if not would i be correct in saying that i will need a 7mm spacer to bring the wheel out?
Is anyone running these specs, and what width of tyre would work for both front and rear.

Many thanks,

John

It will not be flush with the fenders. I have 7.5 x17 +40 both front and rear and it fits so +42 it will fit no problem. Are you still in Cyprus Jon? I can show you the way they fit on my car if you want. You were supposed to pm me with your number in Nicosia but you never did. We should meet sometime. Pm me if you want.

thanks

Has no one else got any info? They will be going on with 6mm spacers on the rear... just after some extra experiance if there is any out there.
What are the widest tyres that can fit on a 7.5 wheel, and more importantly what size will fit under the arches?
Cheers,

John

Looks like you're running some decent HP, 7.5" sounds too narrow. I'd go with at least a 9" wheel in back and a +30 offset. Maybe even a lower offset, depending on how low your car is and if you want to roll your fenders. You can fit a lot of tire in the back. 255/40/17 in back would be easy and 235/40/17 up front.

Reason being is that i am pretty limited to size, style and offset... and price in Germany. I do not want to go excessively wide due to trammlining and the extra stress put on the drivetrain from using wide tyres.
Thanks for all your input,
