error codes 8 & 10.. should i just replace the AFM?
error code 8. (8 Short) = Air Flow Meter (AFM) = one of the following
Open or Short Circuit .
-AFM Connector.
-AFM.
-.Wiring from AFM to ECU.
error code 10 (1 Long) Intake Air Thermosensor (AFM)
Open or Short Circuit .
-Intake Air Thermosensor Connector.
-Wiring from Intake Air Thermosensor to ECU.
-Intake Air Thermosensor Resistance.
I kinda want to just replace the whole thing, since it will be pretty straight foward.. i checked all the connections, and everything is fine.
my question is, should i just replace the whole thing to be safe? or could something could have caused a false CEL to go off?
this is the first time i have got a CEL for this, and haven't noticed any changes while driving, which leads me to believe that it is a false alarm, or maybe i'm just retarded

The FSM details how to check the meter via an ohm test. If it tests out good then your first error code is likely a function of something outside the meter itself (2nd code obviously an internal problem which can be replaced). You can also test the readings at the ECU (pins 2B and 2K) which relates to the AFM and compare to spec. You very well might have a poor connection at the ECU rather than the meter.
