Timing? Are you ported?

Are any of the belt driven accessories dragging you down?

Got BAC?

Actually sounds like a bad-*** vac leak. Is she hard to start?

Well i checked the timing on mine but its kind hard when it wont idle . So are you saying that you adveance or decreased the timing about 5 degrees to get it to run right assman?

I would be money that you have a vac leak.. while the engine is running spray some "Starting Fluid" around the intake runners and vac lines that you have left.

If the RPM goes up at all then you have a vac leak

You guys need to learn some old-school tricks, lol...

If a timing light won't work for ya, get her idling as well as you can, and tweak on the CAS until she runs lumpy, then tweak the other way until she's acting up again, then tweak it to the middle of the two extremes. This makes a good starting point for further adjustments later, when you figure out what else is wrong. If she runs like crap no matter where you tweak the CAS, either the timing is so far off that you need to restab, or you have definite other issues to resolve first before you even mess with the timing again...Like vac leaks

I'm likely in the same boat as you with this S4. I'll tamper with the timing tomorrow
