just waiting on the clutch. I spent a lot of time sand blasting and glass beading the aluminum. and painted some stuff too...now my turbo looks all dirty! I am going to put a different turbo on soon, so I didnt bother cleaning that one up too much

Thanks a lot guys...gotta love positive feedback. Im very proud of this so far, as it's my first real performance minded engine and I've put my own sweat and cash in it. It's been street ported and outfitted with Hurley seals. The turbo is stock for now, however the wastegate has been massively ported and the twin scroll removed. Oh yeah...I'm all proud of the block off plates that I made:
This is all just very exciting for me! Thanks again Bryan and Anthony for all your help thus far

Ya, I got that I am wondering what those particular plates in the pictures are doing away with? I am putting my motor back together as I type... Wondering if thats somthing I might want to do while I got it apart.

Okay from what i can tell it looks like the big Plate is the ACV hookup. The smaller one I am not sure yet. What are the Pro's & Cons of removing the ACV? Is that part of the smog pump removal? Or am I on the wrong track.
