engine wont turn over by hand

hey i just got this engine from some one on here and when i went to take the flywheel nut off yesterday with my impact gun the motor didnt turn over at all i didnt have to use any thing to stop the flywheel from moving cause it didnt move any..the only thing i can think of is that the spark plugs are still in could that be causing it to have problems turning over by hand?

Even with the spark plugs in, the engine should still turn even by hand. Chances are that an apex seal has broken and is wedged between the rotor and housing. Or the bearing are frozen

The engine might be okay.. just some carbon got in the way..lube it up through the leading plug holes..use Transmission fluid as it will help disolve the carbon, then after about 1 day relube with oil then try to break loose.

Transmission fluid is kind of hard on the seals. It might work out better to get a gallon of marvels mystery oil and use that.
