Engine Wiring harness removal.
So I've taken a lot out of the engine bay and have a few questions about the wiring harness.
Part of the harness goes in on the passenger side and the other goes in on the driver side. The driver side harness looks okay. In fact, the only wiring on the driver side that's messed up is the wiring going to the altenator. This line goes somewhere under the engine and I'm not really sure were.
So my question is, does this connect to the driver side harness at some point? If it does then i'll need to remove that. Does that mean i'll need to take the dash off to get that line out?

The wiring harness that comes from the pasenger side firewall is all one section. It runs to the left side and then under back to the right. In order to get to all of the harness you need to pull the intake off, though I can probably be corrected on this, but thats what i had to do to my 88se

It is a separate harness. There is 3 harnesses there. The body the emissions and the charging / ground. The charging one with the alt wires and batt wires bolts to the side of the frame rails by the oil-sending unit. The body harness just pulls out from the passenger’s side and eventually pulls out of the driver’s side. The emissions harness is only from the ECU to the motor.

The charge harness does not go into the bay. Only the emissions harness goes from the passengers to the motor only. The body harness comes out main from your drivers side and wraps all the way around. balive only if you have ABS but I may be mistaken that the body harness loops back into the passengers firewall.

if you were asking about the charging wire for the alternator, i think you can run a new one from that to the main fuse or positive battery table. don't know if this helps, just my $.02

I have a S5 vert, so i'm not certain how accurate the jpg is. One last thing, i've got the enginer harness (or emissions harness if you'd like, the one coming in from the passenger side) disconnected fully from the engine and i'm ready to pull it out. I also have it disconnected from the ECU.
Do i have to take the dash of to remove this? In other words, is this harness plugged into something else up under the dash besides the ECU?
