Engine well cleaning
So, What do you mean about Engine Well cleaning?
Are you re-building the engine?
I am thinking to do some Engine Cleaning. I heard people not recommend to do Regular Engine Flush on the Rotary.
I am still doing my research on engine cleaning because I got this 1990 FC3S N/A GXL 3 months ago with 58K miles on it. I kind of worry about how my previous owner did her maintenance because she is a old grandma. LOL. Good news is that she changed her engine oil frequently and it's a garage car. Bad news is that since it's garage car, not sure about engine oil may stain on the metal.

Other than that though, it is really good ****, and perfect for the engine bay and a scrub brush. Just be sure to rinse well after use
Try Simple Green. Wet the engine and engine compartment down, spray Simple Green on non-electrical components, wait 10 minute and spray it off good with water. Cheap, easy and works fairly well. May need to do multiple applications to get everything clean. You may have to scrub some areas with a brush if the gunk is really thick. Go easy on the painted surfaces, though, with a brush.
Any good degreaser like Simple Green or Purple power.
Stuff a rag in the intake, or bag a cone filter.
The first time you'll need a scrub brush or two.
Be aware those cleaners etch aluminum so rinse as you go.
An important step after you rinse it good: Use a leaf blower or air blast hose to chase water out of the alternator & all the connector plugs.
To make it shine - silicone protectant: Spray on a light mist, the use the air blast to smooth it out & displace any water hiding in connectors.

Listen to me because I just did this.
Use any degreaser spray in the world but then hit it with compressed air and it will all get blown down onto the under belly tray. You engine bay will be clean enuff to eat off from. Compressed air will get all oil, dirt, and grime out of any little crease there is. then you take the belly pan off and take it outside and hit that with the compressed air and your done.
Scubbing it will get you know where.
