Engine water seal?

i was looking to pick up a 88 RX7 GXL the owner said it needed to have the engine water seals replaced. How much am i looking at to get it replaced, is it something a person with moderate mech skills can do on their own? TIA

If the water seals are bad, the motor will need to be torn down and rebuilt. If you do it yourself, your looking at the price of replacement seals plus your labor.

Oh, and how many miles on the motor? That determines the degree of rebuilding that you will need to do.
