engine transplant no workie !

i have good compression...
spark/air/fuel/oil.....
i had to splice an injector wire into my car's harness because it was soo brittle and broke off....
it was the injector on the primary fuel rail that is closest to the thermostat housing... it is also taped up with the thermostat housing conector..... welll...
my harness's wire colors did not match up with the spliced injector connector and also the thermostat housing connector....
wires were close in color but not the same... so i guess i winged it and connected them together thinking they were the right wires to splice together.......
well i get to the point that i can turn the engine over....
well... all it does is crank over and over and over and over..
nothing else....
could a crossed spliced wire be the culprit of the constant crank and no fire up?
please help i am in need of an engine guys
thanks alot
jack

Are you sure it was the right connector that you used? Sure you didn't just put the water temp sensor on the injector? If that doesn't work, double check for MAJOR vac leaks, or the CAS is unhooked, AFM hooked up, timing is correct, etc.

afm hooked.... cas is hooked....
im not good with timing on rotary engines... one thing im shitty about...i have the cas in the dead center of its turning radius....
i am leaning towards flip flopping the spliced wires u know? i think i may have messed up seeing that the colors didnt match too well...
imma try the wiring in the morn.... but is there n e thing i may be looking over???
thanks sonicrat

Well, the wires for the injectors don't matter, they pulse and it opens (or at least I believe, could be wrong :-D) Double check it against the FSM, if it doesn't match, well then you're using the wrong plug!

My friend just went thru the same thing. His engine had good compression, timming was perferct and everything was hooked up right. The engine would just turn over and over and wouldnt start. To make a long story short, we discovered that the injectors werent getting any power to them. My friend ran new wires from the ECU to the injectors and the car fired right up.

Alot of people may hate this idea BUT get some starting fluid and have someone spray it into the intake while cranking the engine over. If it starts up, youre not getting fuel. If that doesnt work, then something else may be wrong.
