I want to know where the guy's from Can-Saf are. When this stuff was first talked about they were all over Silverrotor saying all kinds of bullshit. Now the photos are out and they're no where to be found? Can't say I'm all that suprised. It's too bad Silverrotor had to go through all this but sometimes that's the way it goes. I decided when my first motor went I'd learn to build it myself (with help from friends), I really think it's the way to go.

Geez, Tony, what a cluster they made of that engine! But the mark of your talent is that you were able to display and explain all the issues so clearly and thus give us all a really interesting education.

The Mazdatrix site has a very good FAQ link on the dangers of the Torrington bearing slipping into the gap if you hack the rebuild.

Why don't you sell some more FD alts and buy one of those sexy Guru E-shafts with the center bearing?

Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys. It's quite apparent that they did not know what they were doing with my Engine...there Is no escaping this. As I said previously - I'm glad this had happened. We able Identify exactly how and why this had happened andto take a pile of junk and give It new life. I'm damn near broke now.

Everything In the Engine Is brand new with the exception of the Apex Seals and It's Springs and Side Seals and It's Springs. Even for those, they were only 989 km's old. I bought a new Oil Pump Assembly and It's Spacers and Bearings. I picked up RB Oil Lines and RB Street Pressure Regulator and 200 Weber Jets for the Eccentric Shaft aswell. I'm preconditioned to take the Lubrication System very seriously as a result of this mishap.

I maybe able to assist anyone left that would like to purchase a FD Alternator Kit.

Ha! Priceless!

O I should clarify some stuff. I only bought the haltech from can-saf and I did the install so any running issues is not directed at them so I hope there was no confusion etc.

The install is relatively simple such that really it should have no real issues.
If you want to PM me with the problems, I can try to help. But it's damn near impossible to do electrical troubleshooting without actuall being there to probe things.

I think that Can-Saf has been butchered enough in multiple threads by now, over and over. I understand that you have grievances with them silver, they are well documented, and probably deserved.

But maybe it is time to turn on the maturity, and keep that stuff private, before more morons from here decide to post useless 'funny stuff' on their forum.

That is an excellant point, but Can-Saf has not necessarily dealt with the situation in a way that warrents respect. However, this is not an excuse to pollute their forums. I would imagine this situation has already done enough damage to their business.

I'll agree Aaron. My appologies to bust into your thread again Tony. I got a quick PM from someone on their forums now asking me not to post there. I wrote a straightforward reply, but probably sounded like a dick in it.

Anyhow, if it has done some sort of "damage" to their business, I can only hope they've made sufficient means to remedial future situations. For example, if it seems their rotary rebuild knowledge is not to spec, they should have made moves to sufficiently bring it to spec.

If they haven't, they deserves to continue to "damage" their own business by not fixing their issues that caused the initial damage in the first place.

If you lose a valuable items in fire in a house without smoke detectors... Theres a good chance you'll have smoke detectors in your next home isn't there?

God I hope so! I have no sympathy for a shop that would put out this type of workmanship.

Your one to talk about maturity? This natural progression of the thread was Inevitable...questions are asked and I reply. I can't control the link that was just provided. It's funny as hell but oh well.

As a byproduct to the hijacked thread that took place In the Canadian Forum I have every right to display/declare my findings. You know what I mean, jellybean?

That's OK... I just don't think it's necessary to trash their forums. I mean, their forum already has like 0 posts anyway.

They know what they did wrong, even if they don't admit it. I also doubt they will be doing any rotary rebuilds in the near future.

Situational awareness usually dictates the response.

Correct. With rotary aviation kit, they say to leave out the ring and just put the o-ring in. Then seal the front cover using RTV. Thats what I did and im running an FD OPR which is 110psi. I have never had oil pressure problems yet with the way I have it now.

I'm not sure how to Interpret this response. To much jargon here...

I guess by you quoting your 2nd one liner your sort of disagreeing and second guessing me with my previous statements or/and how I am representing them than? Whats It to you? I do not remember you being Intertwined In the bogus Engine that Can-Saf built me. So why must you see the need to step up considering that this matter does not Involve you to begin with? From the beginning - right up 'til I started quoting you - I maintained my diplomacy on this matter - so butt out.

Since you questioned my maturity, I just stated that unlike the average immature person/goofball/joker, I know when to turn that stuff off and act my age. That is all I meant.

The person I am, and the person that siphons through, and occasionally adds to most of the useless drivel on this forum are two different people.

On a public forum, only those responses sharing the opinions of by the poster are allowed, and the rest should go away and mind their business? I understand. I will butt out.

Listen, I have no relationship with CanSaf at all. I am not questioning weather they fucked you over or not. I have just seen too many stupid forum wars. A-spec, Rx7Specialties, Can Saf. I was merely stating that maybe there are other ways of doing things. We all know the Lemming-mentality that inundates a forum like this.

Go back up and read, Aaron understood where I was coming from.

Personal jabs and such will be kept out of this thread, thank you very much. This goes to everyone.

There are ways to handle a situation. Polluting their forum is not one othem. While it was funny, we don't need a bunch of people going over there and acting like jackasses.

eViLRotor, fair enough, that Is what you meant. In any regard, that statement was open to Interpretation which to me favoured the likelihood that I was exploiting their poor work or something and having you "put me In my place".

The person I am, and the person that siphons through, and occasionally adds to most of the useless drivel on this forum are two different people.
Oh yes, entirely. One minute I want to ban you and the next minute we are laughing our asses off In Ottawa. Your a good guy whom I know personally, quite knowledgable with a nice 7...It was for these reasons Is why I was like WTF? But this has since been corrected.

Again, I had quite afew people that were keeping tabs on my teardown so I had to post the pics. Read both threads again. You will see that I didn't knock anyone In those threads.
