Engine swap help needed/advice

I am looking to swap a 13b twin turbo into my 1988 rx7. My current engine has a broken torque.converter clutch, the seals are wearing and the Tranny is going bad. The new engine comes with everything ready to drop in for $1750. It also a Manuel Tranny and the current one in the car is an automatic. Im curious to know how much it would roughly cost to do the swap and convert it to a Manuel. Also what would be a rough guess on labor costs because I can't do it myself. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Swapping to manual will require pulling the dash and replacing the pedal box, not a horrendous job but could be pricey if you're paying for labor.

In an engine swap (ANY engine swap), bolting in the motor/tranny is actually the easiest part...it's the myriad details afterwords that eat up time and money (the phrase "nickeled and dimed to death" is particularly appropriate).

Whoever you get to perform the work will need to be skilled in a variety of fields and adaptable and creative enough to solve the issues that will arise.

I have no idea how to guesstimate labor costs.

I know a few people in Cincinnati...not rx7 people but they can do mechanic work...maybe they can help you out. They live in the north Fort Thomas area, KY. Ill shoot them a message and see if they can help.

*Edited: I think some of these guys are mechanical engineers.

$10k should get you started...probably more after you figure the price of the standalone/tuning
